JUNE 1, 2024 - BEAVER SCAVENGER HUNT

We are holding a Beaver Scavenger Hunt on June 1, 2024 in partnership with Project Beaver! With many volunteers, we will be looking for signs of beavers throughout the Monument. We want to find out where the beavers are now and what they are doing. The data gathered during the event will help inform the strategies used to increase beaver populations in the Monument. Waterways under beaver management create vibrant and healthy habitats for wildlife. You can find out more about the critical roles beavers play in ecosystems at Project Beaver's website

We are thrilled to be able to contribute to the collaborative, long-term effort to increase beaver populations in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and would love for you to join us!

Volunteer for the event

We are looking for hardy souls who feel comfortable bushwhacking through dense vegetation and walking on uneven terrain in and along waterways for several hours. This will be hard work. For those of you up for this adventure, you will get the opportunity to experience the Monument from a whole new perspective.
