On Saturday, July 6th from 10am-3pm, join CSNM Interpretive Park Ranger, Kristi Reynolds, for a casual exploration, enjoying and identifying butterflies in meadows, hilltops and forests along the Pacific Crest Trail in the Monument. This event is appropriate for all ages (children accompanied by adults). Bring snacks and a lunch, plenty of water and your curiosity. Cameras, ID books and nets are welcome.
Registration is required for the Saturday excursion.
Supplies Provided: Some nets, some ID books, CSNM butterfly brochures/checklists.
Directions: We will meet at 10am to carpool from the Rite Aid parking lot (corner of Ashland Street and Tolman Creek Road). Park at the west end, near the Rodeway Inn.
Difficulty Level: Easy
On the day of the excursion:
Be sure to bring your curiosity
Wear comfortable hiking shoes
Bring lunch, snacks and enough water for the day
Additional items: Hat, sunscreen, ID books, butterfly net, camera
