On Saturday July 21, Stasie Maxwell, Qigong Teacher-in-Training with Transformation Arts, will lead both a stationary and a moving meditation course at Tub Springs State Wayside. Practicing and cultivating mindfulness in Nature aims at deepening the relaxation, peace, and rejuvenation we already feel simply by being or walking by a lake or through the woods.
Participants of all ages are welcome. For children, prior meditation experience is encouraged, but not required. Registration is required to attend.
Directions: We encourage carpooling, but feel free to meet us at Tub Springs.
To carpool, meet at 8:30 am in the Rite Aid parking lot (corner of Ashland Street and Tolman Creek Road). Park at the west end, near the Rodeway Inn.
To get to Tub Springs, head east on Green Spring Hwy (Hwy 66) out of Ashland. Travelling east, the Tub Springs Wayside will be on the left approximately 1.5 miles past the Green Springs Inn.
What to bring:
- Snacks and/or a light lunch
- Comfortable clothing
- Blanket or pad for sitting meditation
Be considerate of the group and meet on time at the designated location.
