Meet at 9:00 am at Tub Springs Wayside, 1.5 miles past Greensprings Inn on Hwy 66. To carpool, meet at 8:15 am, in the Shop n’ Kart Parking lot. (directions below). The hike should be done by 2:00 pm
Hike Duration: 4-5 hours. Length: < 3 miles
Level: Easy. We will carpool to a variety of sites and hike relatively short distances at each site. We will not be hiking on established trails and may encounter dense vegetation and uneven ground, but no significant elevation gain or loss. We might even get our feet wet.
On the day of the hike:
- Bring plenty of water.
- Lunch and snacks.
- Additional items: Hat, Sunscreen, Walking Sticks, Camera, Binoculars, Hand Lens, Checklist.
- Wear sturdy shoes.
- Any protective clothing.

Limited facilities. The only public toilet facilities are located at the Hyatt Lake campground and the Tub Springs Wayside. There are no washroom facilities or pit toilets.
Directions: Shop 'n Kart is located at 2268 Ashland St. in Ashland near Exit 14. Tub Springs Wayside parking lot is reached by leaving Ashland at I-5 Exit 14 to Highway 66 (Greensprings Highway). The wayside is located 1.5 miles past The Greensprings Inn, over Siskiyou Pass.
